Leadbelt Road, Pioneer Range, Southeastern Idaho. Depth Perspective: Foreground areas are usually darker, warmer and more intense than the more distant landscape. As the hills and trees recede into the far distance, they gradually appear lighter, cooler or bluer and more muted (grayed). Again, with YOU as the creator, use this phenomena to pull the vierwer's eye even more deeply into the canyon than does the winding road. You can use stronger color in the forground bushes, grass and trees by adding warmer hues and brightening the willow highlights with light yellows and the pine trees with warmer and lighter greens where the sun hits them directly. Bring some bits of your sky and distant hill colors into the foreground to pull the scene together. |
