PAGE 16.      VALUE PLAN APPROACH D:  USING GEOMETRIC & LETTER SHAPES. Vertical or Horizontal Bands and Squares, Circles, Triangles, etc. of varying values can form abstract value patterns for the foundations of our paintings. Bands or curved bands in the shape of Letters: __"S"... "L"... "C"... "V"... "M"... "W"... etc., are also useful for this approach.
		This Approach evokes a wide variety of feelings to our artworks. Play around with these shapes and values. Just scribble your ideas on any handy paper... napkin, newspaper borders, etc.  Something exclusively yours will come forth. List the subjects you most enjoy painting, and consider using Letter or Geometricshapes as abstract value patterns for them.                                                                              ***
